My name is Soonuk Jung (정순욱, 鄭淳旭). I live in Korea. Married, with three children.

My life-long interest is in researching design issues in everyday situation, both in workspace and at home. Understanding design implications in ordinary things is what fascinates me.

I love reading books. I also enjoy making observations of people and things around me. I like to ask questions but I like it even better when others ask me intriguing questions. And example would be when my daughter asks me the meaning of “irony”.

I like conversations and discussions, except that such occasions are rare. Whenever possible, I try to listen hard, regarding which many people think I don’t speak much.

I have worked in various industries, including online start-up, design consultancy, trading & manufacturing company, graduate schools, and energy-related consulting firm. I am still trying to find out what my true calling is.

Starting with Garr Reynolds’ Presentation Zen in 2008, I translated several books all related with communication design.

The blog itself represents the writer’s viewpoint and experience. But please kindly be reminded that one’s viewpoint often changes over time.
